Despite having limited domestic experience, he was “fast-tracked” into the Pakistan team. He had played only 5 matches during the Pakistan Super League and had not yet made his first-class debut when he was called up to the national side.

- In the year 2023, he was a part of the Pakistan A team that won the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. In the match, he took 3 wickets for 66 runs in the final against India A.
