The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium was established in the year 2006 to build a venue in Chhattisgarh and was completed in 2008. The stadium was constructed at Rs 145 Crore. The Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium was built in the name of Veer Narayan Singh Binjhwar, who is the 1857 Sepoy Rebellion leader from Sobakhan. The Stadium was officially opened on 11 September 2008 with contemporary facilities such as media facilities. The stadium hosted its first match on 21 November 2010, a practice ODI between Chhattisgarh and Canada. Later in 2013, it became the home venue for the Delhi Daredevils, which is now known as the Delhi Capitals.
