Barsapara Stadium History

The ACA Cricet Stadium is also recognised as the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Cricket Stadium, which is the popular musician as well as filmmaker from Assam. It is also known as the Barsapara Stadium. The construction of the cricket stadium began in the year 2006. The first match was played at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium, and it was the Assam vs Odisha match under the East Zone senior Interstate ODI match held on 4 November 2012. 

According to the sources, the field has 8 pitches in the wicket square and 10 pitches in the practice wicket area. During the 2013-2014 Ranji Trophy Season, the ground hosted 4 cricket matches. The Barsapara Stadium is the best stadium in India with all the contemporary facilities included.
