Ashutosh Sharma Early Life
Ashutosh was born in Ratlam (not a place known to produce cricket stars) and fell in love with the game when he was just 8.
There were plenty of cricket lovers in his hometown, but the serious infrastructure for training was lacking. Realising this problem, as a 12-year-old Ashutosh took the call to leave his hometown Ratlam and head to Indore and join Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association’s (MPCA) residential academy. That would prove to be the most important decision of his young life.
In the academy, he learnt the tricks from seasoned coaches and got an aggressive batting technique from former Indian cricketer Amay Khurasiya. Strange enough, his first cricketing coach was a local cop in Ratlam — it is such humble beginnings for a record-breaking national cricketer.
